My Sanctuary - Knoxville Photographer

Lately I've been feeling the stress of owning my own business.  There is always lots to do and I sit in front of my computer for WAY too long without taking breaks.  I've been having trouble sleeping at night because I can't turn my mind off from thinking.  Anyway, as a way of winding down, I always take a bath at night.  It relaxes my muscles and gives me a chance to shut out the world for just a little while.  Recently, however, I've been taking baths by candlelight, hoping that the darkness will make me a little more sleepy before bed.  So I've been doing this for about a week now and every night I admire how the candlelight falls on the water and walls. You might say I'm having a love affair with my bathroom.  The cure: "Just take the picture already and share it with the world!" It's an itch I had to scratch! Thoughts from the shoot:

1) I'm naked and this feels awkward
2) I am SO screwed if this camera falls in the water
3) What if I knock over a candle and start another fire.
4) Is that steam on my lens?!!
5) What if my husband walks in? I could get startled, knock over a candle, AND drop my camera into the water!  This could be bad.

OH how I love to live on the edge! Hope it was worth it! haha!

Adam and Andrea - Chattanooga Couple's Photographer

Earlier this month I met up with Adam and Andrea for a "love shoot." This was part of Adam's gift to Andrea for Valentine's Day! What a great husband, huh?! The day of our shoot was actually the warmest day of the year so far! Nearly 80 degrees we enjoyed the early Spring day by walking around Coolidge Park and over Walnut Street Bridge.  Since the weather was so warm, the streets and the park were packed! Luckily, people were very courteous and allowed us to get some great shots in the midst of traffic.  And just like any outing in Chattanooga, we all bumped into friends along the way! Here are a few pictures from the day.  I know Adam is proud to have such a beautiful wife :)

Such an Adam picture! haha!

Sex and the City Shoot - This Sunday!

As some of you may recall, Lori Line Photography held a drawing in February for one lucky lady and her 3 favorite gal pals to meet on the Walnut Street Bridge for a FREE "Fashion and Friends" shoot!
This Sunday is THE DAY for the shoot! I'm so excited for our winner Heather Houser and her friends! We've been chatting via email about clothes, shoes, etc since the drawing was held.  As I've been editing/retouching photos this week, I've been listening to the "Sex and the City" movie soundtrack to get in the MODE!  It's a great CD I must say.  Check back in April to see a sneak peek from the photo session.  I AM PUMPED! Toodles!

April's Getting Married! - Chattanooga Wedding Photographer

Last Saturday April was showered with wedding gifts by friends and family!  Hosted at her sister-in-law's beautiful home, guests were welcomed with chicken salad sandwiches, fruit skewers, salad, cake, and fruit tea!  For entertainment everyone joined in a game of Bridal Shower Bingo and Word Scramble.  However, I think the best part of the afternoon was watching April's facial expressions as she opened her gifts! I love to see her laugh! AND she received the most perfect gift of all . . . a piggy bank for her shopping sprees!  Here are a few pictures from the party:

Do you think I could resist taking a picture of the dog? NO! hahaha!

Wedding Season Count Down!

Tonight we spring forward one hour for Daylight Savings Time! I'm so excited! As a photographer, it's wonderful to have an extra hour of light during the evening for shoots!  AND we only have 13 more days until Spring/Wedding Season is officially here! Here are a few pics to begin the mental preparation:

More Kaylee! - Cleveland Photographer

For Kaylee's final outfit change, we took it to the streets of downtown Cleveland! This particular alley was a photographer's dream for a grunge shoot! Every few feet was a new setting of graffiti, signs, doors, windows, and staircases.  We had so much fun!

Kitchen-Coleman Wedding - Chattanooga Wedding Photographer

Joe and Julie tied the knot! I really enjoyed getting to know this couple and meeting their beautiful families!  They held a small, private ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Chattanooga.  For the reception everyone gathered at Foodworks downtown for a FABULOUS four-course meal, organized by Jill Allen of Four Bridges Catering.  Many toasts were given, some sentimental and others hysterical!  Haha! Kaylee Radzyminski - Cleveland Photographer for Senior Portraits

Last Saturday Kaylee and I got together to take a "few" Senior Pictures! And when I say a few . . . I mean a few hundred! haha! She's such a great model, I just couldn't get enough! If you've never met Kaylee, you should know that she is very accomplished for her age.  Kaylee created the organization "Tunes 4 the Troops" several years ago, sending thousands of used CDs/DVDs overseas to our troops.  So many people around the US have gotten on board with this cause! Kaylee has even been interviewed by CNN, the Montel Williams Show, and many local t.v. stations about her organization. In addition, she will be featured in an article of TEEN VOGUE in April's issue! For a girl still in her teens, Kaylee has come such a long way.  I have so much respect for her.  I can't wait to see what she'll do next.  Here are a few pictures from her shoot and I hope to post more very soon:

Virginia's for Lovers! - Knoxville Photographer

Last weekend my husband and I spent a late Valentine's Day in Abingdon, VA! In just 2 hours, we arrived at the White Birches Inn, a bed & breakfast that has been featured in Southern Living Magazine.  We stayed in the luxurious Porterfield Suite, which featured a king size bed, a fireplace, a sitting area with bay window, and a jacuzzi and shower in the bathroom. The innkeeper also left a martini glass filled with hershey kisses and a plate of cookies in our room! In addition, the inn also offers complimentary wine to all its guests.  After unloading our luggage, Nathan and I hit the streets and meandered around the brick sidewalks of historic Abingdon.  One of the city's most famous landmarks is the Martha Washington Inn.  It's huge! Of course, I used this as a photo opportunity! I would love to do bridal portraits in this place or even a wedding! It's so nostalgic!  After touring the city, Nathan and I stopped at The Tavern, a german style restaurant, for a relaxing dinner.  The food, service, and atmosphere was exceptionally good.  The next morning we woke up to a wonderful surprise outside . . . SNOW! The view from our window was breathtaking! As we were served a beautiful breakfast of baked french toast with orange glaze sauce, sausage, juice, and coffee, we watched the snow fall outside the dining room window.  And to top off the trip, the innkeeper
brought out her poodle Harry for me to play with!!! I love doggies!
